Formed in 2017, by Aaron (vocalist) and Akeem (bassist), My Pet Fauxes are a lively 6-piece indie pop band who have begun to establish themselves as an exciting prospect in the Nottingham music scene. Renowned locally for their polished and energetic live performances, the band have been described as “One of the finest live acts around now” by the BBC Introducing East Midlands team and have made appearances at Dot to Dot Festival, Tramlines Fringe, and Splendour as well as supporting the likes of LARKINS, Lucia & The Best Boys and Kashmere.

Shortly after the addition of guitarist Ben, the band released their debut EP ‘A Beautiful Mess’ featuring fan-favourite ‘Twist It’ which has amassed 60,000 streams on Spotify. The EP set the tone for the bands' style drawing upon a variety of influences to create a sound described by local publication LeftLion as “An indie-pop Dream”. After a transitional period for the group, the current line up was completed with the additions of guitarist Kieran, drummer Alfie, and saxophonist Ollie Green.

The band released their long-awaited follow up single ‘Isn’t It Fun’ before an appearance on Rock City mainstage for Beat The Streets a month before their biggest headline show to date becoming the first local band to sell out Nottingham’s newest venue Metronome (400cap). On the same weekend, the band played headline shows in both Sheffield and Leeds.

The writing process is already underway for their next EP and the future looks very bright for My Pet Fauxes.
